Chris Heyes
Chief Financial Officer
Chris began his career at Deloitte, specializing in internal audit, risk management, and the assurance of carbon and other non-financial metrics. Following this, he transitioned into investment and financial roles across prominent charitable foundations, gaining valuable experience in managing complex financial portfolios.
Prior to joining Ecology Group Chris played a pivotal role at RSK Group building the tax, treasury, internal audit and FP&A functions and played an instrumental role in raising debt and equity financing to fuel the growth of the business.
At Ecology Group, he brings experience in growing businesses, M&A and building high-performing teams. He is focused on driving financial and operational excellence to support the group’s ambitious growth plans through continuous improvement.
Outside of work, Chris spends time with his young family managing two acres of woodland in Cumbria.
Devika Jina-Crowther
Head of Marketing and Business Development
Devi has over 10 years’ experience in sustainability marketing and communications, having worked for non-profits such as Business in the Community and CDP, and global engineering company, RSK Group.
She is an expert in strategic marketing and communications and has always been extremely passionate about sustainability, biodiversity and ecology.
Prior to joining Ecology Group, Devi built the Group Marketing Communications team at RSK, where she led her team to deliver strategic marcomms steer to the wider business and led on high-level campaigns from COP26 to various high-profile reports.
She brings her expertise in strategic sustainability marcomms and experience in directly supporting business development to Ecology Group.
Outside of work, Devi is a keen gardener, allotment keeper and published author.
Alex Thompson
M&A Director
Alex is an ACA Chartered Accountant with over 13 years’ experience working with owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses. He specialises in sourcing and executing strategic, mid-market corporate transactions and has led several deals in the circular economy and sustainability sectors.
Prior to joining Ecology Group, Alex held a senior role at a pan-European advisory and investment business, where he supported the firm’s strategic direction and contributed to its national growth.
He brings extensive expertise in value creation and strategic M&A to Ecology Group and will drive the group’s expansion while fostering a collaborative, growth-focused team culture.
Outside of work, Alex is a keen sportsman and can often be found on the golf course or at the gym.
Amy Bishop
People Director
Amy brings over 20 years of experience in People and HR roles across a wide range of sectors, including financial and professional services, education, and retail. Her career has taken her across Australia, Dubai, New Zealand, and the UK, giving her a broad and varied perspective on organisational culture, leadership and talent development.
Prior to joining Ecology Group, Amy held a senior leadership role within the People team at global fitness apparel brand Gymshark, working closely with Directors and the executive team across key areas of HR to drive business transformation and support global growth. She partnered with leaders to strengthen internal mobility, develop talent capability and enable high‑performing.
Amy brings expertise spanning transformational change, talent development, leadership capability and building trusted partnerships at executive level. She is passionate about creating environments where people can do their best work and is committed to supporting Ecology Group’s purpose‑driven growth through its people.
Outside of work, Amy can be found enjoying the outdoors with her young family and planning her next adventures exploring the world and visiting family.
