Emerging market-leader in ecological and environmental services, Ecology Group, has today welcomed global HR professional with over 20 years’ experience, Amy Bishop as People Director.

Ecology Group welcomes Amy Bishop as new People Director

With over a decade of senior experience across dynamic, complex organisations in sectors from fashion to finance, Amy is known for her passionate, commercially focused approach to people and talent strategy. Her expertise spans transformational change, talent development, and building trusted partnerships at executive levels – all of which are vital to Ecology Group as the business continues to grow into a market-leading consultancy.

Amy joins Ecology Group from global fitness apparel brand Gymshark, where she held a senior leadership role within the People Partnering team from September 2021. She worked closely with Directors and the executive team across many key aspects of HR, shaping people strategy to support transformation across the business, including growth through the development of physical stores globally. She also partnered with leaders to strengthen internal mobility and build talent capability across the organisation.

Combined, these experiences are testament to her ability to align people strategies with long-term business goals, and nurture cultures and values that are essential to attracting and retaining talent.

Prior to Gymshark, Amy held senior HR roles in the retail and education sectors across Australia, Dubai, New Zealand, and the UK, consistently delivering pragmatic, data-driven people solutions that enable business growth and cultural evolution. Her global expertise brings even more value to Ecology Group as it expands its impact.

In her role at Ecology Group, Amy will take the lead in developing a culture and values that not only reflect the business and its goal to become a market-leader but are shaped by the experts within the business.

Reflecting on her new role, and the opportunities it presents, Amy said:

“I’m really excited to join Ecology Group. It’s a great opportunity to build and shape something meaningful at a pivotal moment with a company with such a strong and important purpose. Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand how great teams and strong cultures drive growth and success, and that experience shapes everything I do.

As People Director, I’m committed to investing in talent and creating an environment that brings out the best in people. With talent already across the companies we’ve acquired and more to come as the Group grows, my focus is on creating a shared culture that brings those strengths together and empowers everyone to succeed. I’m looking forward to being part of the next phase of Ecology Group’s journey.”

Amy’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for Ecology Group, as, now a group of five consultancies, the business is focusing on nurturing a culture that attracts and retains the very best talent, critical to this growing market-leader.
